Our Team

Nesreen Hermes, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Hermes earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Loyola University Chicago before obtaining her Medical Doctorate from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. During her residency, Dr. Hermes developed a deep passion for both men and women’s health, as well as pediatrics, while serving as a primary care physician. She takes a holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing the importance of nutrition, exercise, sleep, emotional well-being, and carefully evaluating the use of supplements. Dr. Hermes is fluent in both Arabic and English.

Aimee Klinefelter, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Aimee is a Certified Physician’s Assistant PA-C. She completed her Master’s in medical science in physician's assistant studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove. Prior to training as a PA, Aimee worked as a Nursing Assistant at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, and volunteered with Global Brigades in Honduras.  Her education and training have allowed her to care for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.  Additionally, she is experienced in managing both acute and chronic diseases. Her areas of interest are Women's Health and Pediatrics.

Carolyn Francart, PA-C​​
​Physician Assistant

Carolyn is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). She completed her Masters in Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove. Prior to training as a PA, Carolyn worked at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an assisted living facility as a patient care technician. Her education and training have allowed her to care for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. Additionally she is experienced in managing both acute and chronic diseases. Her interests are Women’s Health and Geriatrics. ​

Maria Fernanda Lopez-Bermejo, PA-C
Physician Assistant

​Fernanda Lopez, PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant. She completed her Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. Prior to training as a PA, Fernanda worked in the Emergency Department at McLaren Hospital in East Lansing as a phlebotomist and patient care technician. Her education and clinical experience have allowed her to care for a wide range of patient populations across their lifespan. Fernanda’s professional interests include Pediatrics and Family Medicine.
Karen Tirado, MA
Assistant Manager
Karen received her degree in Medical Assisting from Everest College in 2014.  She has been an important member of the Hermes Health team ever since.  Karen lives in the area and has close ties to the community.  She loves talking to and helping people. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter.  Karen is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Priscilla Ruiz
Scribe / Medical Assistant 
Priscilla is a recent Loyola Chicago graduate that majored in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience and minored in Bioethics. She has experience in various healthcare settings including cognitive development research in infancy. Additionally, she volunteered at Misericordia Home and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. ​
Jes Elizaga, CPC
Medical coder and referral specialist
Jes Elizaga is a certified professional coder with extensive experience in the healthcare setting including medical coding, billing, insurance verification, authorization and referrals. Jes volunteers in community outreach programs like Habitat for humanity, tree planting and charities for people with special needs. His goal is to continue his focus on coaching youths in sports teams. He is fluent in Ilocano and Tagalog.
Rene Hermes, CPPM
Chief Of Operations
Rene holds a degree in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami. He began his career as a financial analyst in corporate finance before transitioning to specialize in the medical space. Rene’s expertise spans in clinic management and business development. With extensive experience in insurance billing, coding and credentialing, he is dedicated to prioritizing the best interests of the patient. Rene is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
